Who are we looking for?
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment leader to step into a senior technical role with influence, visibility and genuine career impact. Joining our NSW/ACT Impact Assessment business group, you will help shape the delivery of complex, high-profile projects across renewable energy, water, transport, property and precincts.
You will play a key role in strengthening and growing our Environmental Impact Assessment and Approvals capability in NSW/ACT, while being part of a connected national team with deep technical expertise across Australia. You will work on state significant infrastructure and major development projects, partnering with clients and collaborating alongside some of the industry’s renowned environmental, planning and approvals experts.
This role offers the platform to lead complex assessments, influence strategic project outcomes, mentor emerging talent and contribute to the continued growth of a respected national practice. It is a chance to combine technical leadership, client engagement and team development in a role where your expertise will make a tangible difference to communities, clients and the environment.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Providing technical leadership, client management, and project delivery for complex environmental impact assessment and approvals projects across NSW/ACTLeading multi-disciplinary teams by designing and co-ordinating studies and environmental assessmentsBuilding strong, trusting relationships with our clients, regulatory agencies and key stakeholders to encourage collaborative engagement to support successful outcomes Business planning and strategic decision-making, while seeking out new project opportunities, preparing proposals and converting leads into new businessPreparing technical reports, and growing our team’s technical capability through mentoring and technical reviews
What you will bring to the team:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental related studies (such as Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering or Urban Planning Over 15 years of professional experience in a consulting environmentExpertise in setting strategy, design, co-ordination and management of environmental impact assessment studies and regulatory approvals applicationsDemonstrated experience in performing key roles on SSI and SSD projects across a range of markets including transport, renewables, energy and water. Strong knowledge of NSW, ACT and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policyDemonstrated experience in leading projects, business development, networking and client relationship management
