We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our Labels & Packaging Division. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales professional with experience selling large capital equipment or industrial machinery within the label, packaging or related print industries. You will represent a leading portfolio of technology and equipment solutions while developing long-term relationships with customers across Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director – Labels & Packaging Division ANZ, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while managing and growing relationships with existing customers. You will represent a leading portfolio of technology and equipment solutions while developing long-term relationships with customers across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities
Developing and executing sales strategies across the labels and packaging markets
Identifying new customers, projects and market opportunities
Managing complex, high-value capital equipment sales from initial enquiry through to completion
Building strong relationships with business owners, senior executives and operational decision-makers
Understanding customers' production requirements and recommending commercially sound solutions
Preparing proposals, presentations, quotations and business cases
Managing an active sales pipeline and delivering accurate forecasts
Working closely with product, service, applications and marketing teams
Representing Currie Group at customer events, exhibitions and industry functions
Travelling throughout Australia and New Zealand as required
About you
Demonstrated success selling large capital equipment, industrial machinery or technical solutions
Experience in the label, packaging, converting or printing industries
A strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling
Experience managing long and complex sales cycles
Excellent commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
The ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of an organization
A proactive approach to developing new business and opening new markets
Strong planning, pipeline management and forecasting capabilities
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
A willingness to travel regularly across the ANZ region
Current driver's licence
Experience within self-adhesive labels, flexible packaging, digital printing, conventional printing, finishing or converting equipment would be highly regarded.
