Senior Beauty Therapist – Waxing Focus

Casual, part-time or full-time opportunity
Hours and days flexible for the right candidate
Availability required: Ideally 4–5 days per week, including Saturday. We’re also open to fewer days for the right candidate.

Pay rates

Casual:
$40/hr weekdays + super
$50/hr Saturdays + super
Plus commission on packages and retail

Permanent employment is also available for the right candidate, with rates discussed based on experience.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Beauty Therapist to join our team at YWAX Westfield Parramatta.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a great attitude who genuinely enjoys waxing.

YWAX has a large and loyal waxing clientele, so approximately 75% of your treatment day will consist of waxing services, particularly:

• Brazilian waxing

• Brow waxing and shaping

• Full-body waxing

The remaining part of your day will generally be a mix of laser hair removal and advanced skin treatments.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to an experienced therapist who enjoys being busy, works efficiently and takes pride in delivering consistently excellent treatments.

We are flexible about whether the right person joins us casually, part-time or full-time. Finding someone who fits our team and genuinely enjoys the work is more important to us than fitting someone into a particular employment type.

Waxing experience is very important to us

Because waxing makes up such a large part of this role, we are looking for someone who is already highly confident and experienced with Brazilian and body waxing.

You should be comfortable working efficiently while still providing a thorough, professional and friendly experience for every client.

Experience performing male Brazilian waxing is a great advantage, but it is not essential. If you are experienced and confident with male Brazilian waxing, please mention this in your cover letter.

What you’ll be doing

• Performing high-volume Brazilian, brow and full-body waxing

• Providing brow shaping, brow and lash tinting and other brow/lash services

• Performing laser hair removal

• Delivering facials and advanced skin treatments

• Conducting personalised consultations and recommending appropriate treatments and aftercare

• Managing appointments efficiently and keeping treatments running on time

• Maintaining excellent hygiene and presentation standards

• Building long-term relationships with clients through great treatments and genuine care

Laser training can be provided if required.

Additional experience we’d love

Experience in any of the following is a bonus:

• Skin needling

• HydraFacial

• Cosmelan or professional pigmentation treatments

• Lash lifts

• Brow laminations

• Advanced facials and peels

• LED and skin analysis

• Laser hair removal

You do not need to be experienced in every treatment above. We can provide training in areas where required.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Beauty Therapist

• Strong waxing skills, particularly Brazilian and body waxing

• Confidence performing treatments independently

• Excellent time management in a busy clinic

• A warm, professional and confident manner with clients

• Reliability and consistency

• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team

• Most importantly, a positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of the beauty industry
