Support Worker - Male Only NDIS Community Hub

Active Futures is a fully accredited NDIS organisation that has created an outstanding and unique Men's Only Community Hub. 

Located in the Penrith Area, the Active Futures Community Hub provides a centralised location for men where they can learn life skills, socialise in planned activities, relax, connect with other like-minded people all in a fun, friendly, controlled and safe environment. 

Active Futures is seeking to employ a number of casual Support Workers to work with and assist our participants that attend our Hub. 

The primary responsibilities of our Support Workers will include:

1️⃣  Direct Participant Support

2️⃣ Social & Community Engagement

3️⃣ Health & Wellbeing Support

4️⃣ Transport & Daily Assistance

5️⃣ Documentation & Compliance

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidates will be required to have the following:

• A minimum of 24 months of experience in a similar position within the disability sector.

• Certificate 3 in Disability Services.

• An ability to provide services to Participants in a caring, professional and supportive manner. 

• An ability to engage effectively with Participants, their families and external support networks. 

• A proven ability to undertake and complete all relevant tasks in an efficient and productive manner.  

• General knowledge of the industry compliance requirements.

• Suitable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
