Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst

Are you a data-driven analyst who uses SQL to solve complex reconciliation problems?

We are partnering with one of the world's most recognisable global Fintech and payment platforms!

Seeking a highly analytical Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst for an initial 12-month contract to help verify and investigate massive transaction volumes.

This isn't a traditional accounting role relying solely on Excel. You will be working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure absolute financial integrity across the platform, right down to the last cent.

What you’ll be doing:

• Investigating breaks and anomalies across millions of daily transactions.
• Writing and maintaining complex SQL queries to reconcile external network files (Visa/Mastercard, SWIFT, ACH) with internal ledgers.
• Partnering with engineering teams to define business requirements for fixes and help automate reporting dashboards.
• Supporting month-end close processes and reporting for a global payment ecosystem.

What you'll bring to the team:

• Proven experience in payment operations, settlements, or reconciliation analytics.
• Independent, advanced proficiency in SQL (you can build queries from scratch and comfortably handle large, complex datasets).
• A solid understanding of the payment lifecycle: merchant acquiring, interchange fees, and card network settlement files.
• A natural problem-solving mindset - you thrive on finding the root cause of an issue rather than just applying a manual fix.
