About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Supply Planning Manager to join our team on a 6-12 month parental leave contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a high performing supply chain professional to make an immediate impact within a dynamic and growing business.
While the position is offered as a fixed‑term parental leave contract, this reflects the nature of the vacancy. As our business continues to grow and evolve, strong performance and alignment with our future needs may create opportunities for ongoing engagement beyond the initial term. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading the import team, ensuring optimal inventory levels, supply continuity, and alignment between demand forecasts and business requirements. You will collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and key suppliers to develop and execute supply strategies that support business growth while balancing inventory investment and customer service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Imports Team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and high performance.
Oversee the end to end import process, including purchase order management, supplier coordination, shipping documentation, customs clearance, freight movements, and warehouse receipt.
Develop and execute import and inventory strategies to ensure product availability while optimising stock levels and working capital.
Build strong relationships with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport partners to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of goods.
Monitor inbound shipments, container movements, detention and demurrage exposure, and proactively resolve supply chain disruptions.
Lead inventory planning activities, aligning stock levels with demand forecasts and business objectives.
Provide leadership reporting on inventory performance, shipment status, supply risks, costs, and operational KPIs.
About You
8+ years' experience in Imports, Logistics, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Planning.
Strong experience with S&OP, forecasting, and inventory optimisation.
Proficient in ERP systems with SAP experience is essential, including inventory management, purchasing, and supply planning processes.
Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
