Senior retail leadership opportunity driving performance, people and growth across Northern NSW

We’re now looking for a Regional Manager to lead a portfolio of stores across Northern New South Wales and drive performance, people capability, and exceptional customer experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Retail, this is a strategically important leadership role responsible for driving performance across a significant portfolio of Kathmandu stores throughout Northern NSW.

As a senior retail leader, you will be accountable for delivering sustainable sales growth, building organisational capability, and executing regional strategies that support broader business objectives. Leading through your team of Store Managers, you will create a high-performance culture that balances commercial success with exceptional customer experience and strong people outcomes.

This role requires an experienced multi-site leader who can influence at all levels of the business, lead transformational change, and successfully navigate the complexities of managing a geographically dispersed retail network.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading the overall performance of a large and diverse store portfolio, delivering profitable and sustainable growth.
• Developing and executing regional business plans aligned to company strategy.
• Leading, coaching and developing Store Managers and emerging leaders to build a strong talent pipeline.
• Creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and customer excellence.
• Identifying commercial opportunities through data-driven decision making and market insights.
• Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic business initiatives.
• Leading change management programs and operational improvements across the region.
• Ensuring excellence in visual merchandising, brand execution, compliance, safety and operational standards.
• Driving succession planning and leadership capability across the region.
• Acting as a key ambassador for the Kathmandu brand, values and culture.

About You

• Proven success in a Regional Manager, State Manager or equivalent senior retail leadership role, leading large multi-site store portfolios.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing Area Managers, Cluster Managers or equivalent field leadership teams.
• Strong strategic and commercial capability, with a track record of delivering sustainable sales growth and profitability.
• Experience translating business strategy into actionable regional plans and measurable results.
• Exceptional people leadership skills with a proven ability to build high-performing, engaged teams at scale.
• Demonstrated success leading change, driving operational excellence and improving business performance across multiple locations.
• Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of an organisation.
• Strong analytical capability, using data and insights to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
• A genuine connection to the outdoors and Kathmandu's purpose-led brand is highly regarded.
