Support Worker

We are looking for passionate Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Mt Hutton. You will support people with disability to build independence, wellbeing, and community connection.

In this role, you will

• Provide personal care that promotes dignity and independence (e.g. showering, toileting, continence support).
• Support safe manual handling and mobility using hoists and other aids.
• Follow individual care plans to meet health needs such as epilepsy or wound care.
• Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes in line with mealtime management plans.
• Enable customers to participate in everyday activities — from household tasks to social and community outings.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• A flexible approach to work — you’re happy to support across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
• Disability Industry experience; Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
• Experience supporting participants with complex care needs, including catheter care, bowel care, and diabetes management.
• Experience working in Supported Independent Living and providing personal care.
• Experience in managing behaviours of concern, administering medication and manual handling.
• The ability to stay calm, think quickly, and provide steady, confident support — even when things get challenging.
• A positive attitude, a team spirit, and a genuine passion for helping others achieve their goals.
