1st year Apprentice Roof Plumber

About the role

CTKP is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Apprentice Roof Plumber to join our growing team in Geelong, VIC. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in the plumbing and roofing trades through a full-time apprenticeship programme. You will be working alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your development and will provide you with comprehensive on-the-job training. This role offers the perfect foundation for a long-term career in the skilled trades.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting qualified roof plumbers with the installation, repair and maintenance of roof plumbing systems

• Learning to fit and install guttering, downpipes, flashings and other roof plumbing components

• Carrying out site preparation and material handling tasks under supervision

• Using and maintaining plumbing tools and equipment safely and correctly

• Following health and safety procedures and regulations on all work sites

• Attending block-release training and theory sessions as part of your apprenticeship

• Assisting with site cleaning and ensuring work areas are left tidy and safe

• Building your knowledge of building codes, plumbing standards and best practice techniques

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for working in the trades and a willingness to learn

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship

• Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• A positive attitude and reliability, including punctuality and consistent attendance

• Current or willingness to obtain a valid driver's licence

• A genuine interest in roof plumbing and building trades careers

• Preferably some experience in construction or manual work, though not essential
