Business Development Manager- VIC

We are seeking a driven and results orientated Business Development Manager to manage key customer relationships & develop and close qualified leads in Metro Sydney & regional NSW with a core focus on oils & greases.
Your proven strong communication, time management and organisational skills will ensure you build strong working relationships with new and existing customers, to ensure the return of business and ongoing growth within your Territory.

The role is responsible for managing a diverse range of distributors and end users to drive existing and new business and deliver growth. This is a highly autonomous role, reporting to the National Sales Manager and working closely with our experienced, talented and supportive Head Office Team in Melbourne, VIC.
Core Responsibilities & Expectations
Develop strong and influential relationships with key Distributors and End Users to accelerate customer engagement and drive growth.
Build a strong understanding of all products and product categories and be able to use this knowledge effectively during customer interactions.
Generate leads, drive new business, maintain and continuously develop a robust future pipeline of business.
Utilise a solutions-based mindset to drive improvements and maximise sales conversion through understanding and responding to customer needs.
Achievement of sales targets, KPI's and market share growth within your Territory.
Successfully implement all Head Office Sales & Marketing strategies and initiatives within your Territory.

Skills and experience
Must have minimum 3 years previous ''on the road'' Sales/Business Development experience.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and administration skills (including CRM capability).
Demonstrated ability to build strong and influential relationships and deliver sustained growth within a Sales territory.
Good commercial acumen with a passion and drive to succeed.
Ability to work autonomously and able to take ownership of results.
Tertiary qualification in business or related field (preferred).
Experience in the lubricants and/or hydrocarbons industry (desirable).
Regular local and interstate travel is required.
Must be available for interstate travel as needed to support business development activities.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.
