About the role
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of multiple entities within the group. You will manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, banking and general bookkeeping activities while helping ensure the smooth operation of the group's finance function. You will work closely with the Directors and external accountants who provide support for annual financial statements, taxation matters and more complex accounting requirements. As your experience grows, there will be opportunities to become involved in broader accounting and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities
Processing payroll and maintaining employee records
Managing accounts payable and supplier payments
Raising invoices and administering accounts receivable
Performing bank, credit card and account reconciliations
Maintaining accurate financial and company records
Assisting with BAS, superannuation and compliance activities
Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes
Coordinating insurance renewals, licences and corporate administration requirements
Liaising with external accountants and other professional advisers when required
Providing general financial and administrative support to the Directors
About you
Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
Sound understanding of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confidence working with accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks or similar
Good Microsoft Excel skills
A willingness to learn and develop new skills
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to work directly with business owners. It is ideally suited to an experienced bookkeeper looking for a long-term role, or someone looking to further develop their accounting skills while working alongside external accounting professionals.
