HR/HC Truck Operators – (Road Retexturing & Linemarking Removal)

The Role

You'll operate a range of purpose-built UHP waterblasting trucks, vac tankers on state and national highway projects, removing linemarking and retexturing pavement surfaces. Work is a mix of local Gold Coast/Brisbane -based projects and away work on regional and interstate campaigns (accommodation and allowances provided).

Day-to-day you will:

• Operate and drive HR/HC waterblasting trucks to and from site

• Run UHP blasting equipment to specification, including daily pre-starts and plant checks

• Work within traffic control environments on live road corridors (predominantly night shift)

• Complete dockets, plant records, and QA paperwork accurately

• Carry out routine maintenance, nozzle changes, and general upkeep of equipment

• Work as part of a small, tight-knit crew with a strong safety culture

About You

• Current HR or HC licence (essential) with a clean driving record

• White Card (General Construction Induction)

• Experience in civil construction, road maintenance, or plant operation (waterblasting/UHP experience highly regarded but not essential – full training provided)

• Willingness to travel and work away on regional/interstate projects

• Comfortable with night shift work

• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow SWMS and site procedures

• Mechanically minded with a practical approach to problem-solving

Highly Regarded

• UHP waterblasting or industrial blasting experience

• First Aid certificate

• Experience on TfNSW or TMR projects
