About This Role
Your new role:
Join the Queen ELizabeth II Jubilee Hospital Emergency Department administration team and play an important role in supporting patients, families and clinical staff in a busy 24/7 environment. You will provide responsive, accurate and client-focused administrative services while helping ensure emergency registrations, admissions and health records are processed efficiently.
Provide timely administrative and customer support to patients, carers and staff.Process emergency registrations, admissions, patient information and financial details accurately.Support health records, switchboard and other administrative functions, including after-hours duties.Work collaboratively with clinical teams while responding effectively to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
About You
You are a highly organised and customer-focused administration professional who can remain calm, accurate and responsive in a busy Emergency Department environment. You will demonstrate:
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, staff and external stakeholders.Customer focus: A compassionate, patient and professional approach to supporting diverse clients.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a large multidisciplinary team while also working autonomously after hours.Technology and accuracy: High-level data entry skills, attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn hospital information systems.
Please note: This position requires continuous shift work across a 24-hour rotational roster, including all shifts. Applicants must be available to meet this requirement.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
