About the role
Primary Purpose:
Would you like the opportunity to work directly with CFS brigades and volunteers to contribute to the operational readiness of CFS’ specialist capabilities statewide?
CFS is one of the only volunteer fire services in Australia with a hazardous materials (HazMat) response capability and responsibility.
The Technical Operations Officer plays a key role in ensuring that CFS’ HazMat brigades are equipped and ready to respond to hazardous materials emergencies across the state and then supporting those operations in the field when they occur.
This is a role, that makes a real difference to CFS volunteers and the response they provide to their community.
Specifically, the Technical Operations Officer will:
Essential Qualifications:
Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations)
Remuneration:
CFS3
$86,478 - $94,382
Special Conditions:
Engagement will be subject to a satisfactory Emergency Services Sector Criminal History Check. For all special conditions, please refer to the Role Description.
