An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and energetic Duty Manager to join a well-established hospitality and travel organisation in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role in a vibrant, guest-focused environment where no two days are the same. You’ll support the daily Front Office operation, guide and develop the team, and help create memorable experiences for every guest.

The Opportunity

Working closely with and reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Front Office and act as a key point of contact for guests and team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Front Office Manager with daily operations

• Leading, coaching and supporting the Front Office team during your shifts

• Welcoming and registering guests

• Responding to guest enquiries and providing local recommendations

• Managing guest concerns with confidence, care and professionalism

• Completing Front Office administration and operational tasks

• Supporting team training and development

• Promoting consistently high standards of guest service

• Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to introduce guests to the organisation’s vacation ownership offering

• Assisting with events and other operational activities when required

What You’ll Bring

• Previous Front Office leadership experience as a Team Leader, Shift Supervisor or Duty Manager

• Approximately three years of relevant hospitality experience, preferred

• Experience using hotel property management systems, with Opera experience highly regarded

• Strong communication, active listening and interpersonal skills

• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

• A positive, energetic and solutions-focused approach

• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail

• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure

• Confidence managing guest concerns and resolving problems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Events, bookkeeping or finance experience, highly regarded

• Professional presentation and grooming

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, school holidays and public holidays
