Qualified Electrician

J2 Electrical & Solar is a growing residential electrical company servicing Sydney’s Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a qualified electrician to join our team. We’re a hands-on company that takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail and doing the job properly — not just getting it done.

The Role

As a residential electrician with J2 Electrical & Solar, your day-to-day work will include:

• Carrying out residential electrical installations, maintenance and fault finding

• Working across renovations, new builds, alterations and general residential works

• Rough-in and fit-off electrical installations

• Installation of lighting, downlights, switches and GPOs

• Switchboard upgrades, RCBO installations and circuit protection

• Running and terminating submains and final subcircuits

• Installation of EV chargers and dedicated appliance circuits

• Smart-home installations and control systems

• Electrical fault finding and rectification

• Solar and battery-related electrical work

• Working directly with builders, homeowners, property managers and other trades

• Completing jobs to a high standard while maintaining a clean and professional worksite

• Completing job documentation and photos through our digital job management systems

• Supporting apprentices and contributing to a positive team environment

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a fully qualified electrician with a NSW electrical licence

• Has solid residential electrical experience

• Takes pride in their workmanship and has a genuine eye for detail

• Can work independently while also being part of a team

• Has good communication and customer service skills

• Is reliable, punctual and organised

• Presents professionally and takes pride in their work vehicle and tools

• Is confident diagnosing problems and finding practical solutions

• Wants to develop their skills and grow with a company

• Holds a current driver's licence

Experience with smart-home systems, EV chargers, solar/battery systems and switchboard upgrades is highly regarded, but not essential.
