Casual Chef – Great Hours, No Late Nights

$36.82/hr base rate | $51.54/hr Sundays + applicable penalty rates

Love hospitality but over the late nights?

Norman Park Sports & Community Club is looking for an experienced Casual Chef to join our small, friendly kitchen team.

We're a busy and growing community club, but we're not your typical hospitality venue. There's no breakfast service, no midnight finishes and no big corporate kitchen.

You'll work alongside our Head Chef during regular service, functions and community events, while also being confident enough to take charge of the kitchen when required.

You'll be involved in food preparation, service and the general day-to-day running of the kitchen.

We're looking for someone who can work well alongside our Head Chef but is also experienced enough to confidently run a service independently when the Head Chef is away.

You'll ideally:

• Have previous experience as a chef in a busy kitchen

• Be confident running a service independently

• Produce consistent, quality food

• Be organised and reliable

• Have strong food safety and hygiene standards

• Work well in a small team

• Be available for weekend shifts

• Have a positive, easy-going attitude and enjoy being part of a community-focused venue

Norman Park Sports & Community Club is a local community club in Brisbane's inner east.

We're continuing to grow our food, functions and events offering and are looking for someone who wants to become a genuine part of the team rather than just another number in a large kitchen.

Sunday rate: $51.54 per hour
