Venue Manager / Head Barista

As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for holding it down day to day (obviously!). Despite being a coffee focused brand, you will drive quality standards in all areas of the business such as the food, cleanliness, shop presentation, customer service and of course, the coffee. You will provide leadership and guidance for staff members and ensure a clear alignment with the advice and direction given by the owner. You will constantly reinforce the brand commitment to coffee and drive the coffee culture and knowledge within our staff group and customer base.

What we're looking for in this person;

• prior leadership experience - whether in a management role or head barista role (leading a team of baristas)
• specialty coffee experience - this is a non-negotiable (comfortable with recipes, brewing, cupping, talking about flavour)
• exceptional barista skills - from workflow to latte art with consistency under pressure
• experience in controlling labour costs and COGS and understanding the impact these have on the bottom line of the business
• an independent and true 'get it done' mindset - must be prepared to get stuck in and lead by example
• understands to concept of true hospitality - the guest experience is the number priority so looking after our customers is paramount
• communicative and transparent
• a willingness to always do what's in the best interests of the business!

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
