Full time / Part time - Kitchen Hand/Preparation Cook MON-FRI

The opportunity
Veritas foods is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Piping Assistant to join our team in Homebush, NSW. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our talented chefs in delivering exceptional ready meal to families across australia.

What you'll be doing

• Assist our chefs with food preparation and plating meals .

• Prep/ cook kids meals/ baked goods and pipe puree into trays.

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all work surfaces, equipment and utensils are kept spotless

• Accurately follow recipes and preparation instructions provided by the chefs

• Stock and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed

• Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

• Provide exceptional customer service to our diners when interacting with them in the kitchen

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or Preparation Cook in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• A keen interest in food and cooking, with a passion for providing high-quality food

• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards and Haccp procedures.
