Join Our Team – Endoscopy Nurses (RN & EN Opportunities Available)
Are you a passionate Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse looking to join a supportive and experienced Endoscopy team?
North Eastern Community Hospital (NECH) is seeking Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to join our dedicated Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Unit, with an ASAP start available.
This is a part-time position of up to 30.4 hours per week, with flexibility around work days and hours. We are particularly interested in applicants with previous experience in anaesthetics, recovery and/or endoscopic procedures, although nurses who are enthusiastic about developing their skills in Endoscopy are also encouraged to apply.
About the Role
You will join an experienced, long-serving clinical team committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a friendly and supportive environment.
The successful applicants will ideally have experience in Endoscopy and/or Anaesthetics, with experience assisting with procedures such as EUS, ERCP and Enteroscopy highly regarded.
We also welcome applications from nurses with experience in admissions, discharges and recovery who are looking to further develop their skills within the Endoscopy specialty.
The role involves morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts as required. We value flexibility and will work with the successful applicants to accommodate availability where possible.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality and patient-centred nursing care within the Endoscopy Unit
Assist with endoscopic procedures including EUS, ERCP and Enteroscopy, as trained
Support patients throughout admission, procedures and recovery
Work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Contribute to a positive, professional and supportive team environment
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development activities
About You
We are looking for RNs and ENs who demonstrate:
Essential
Current AHPRA registration
Demonstrated clinical nursing skills and professional practice
Strong organisational and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Availability for approximately 30.4 hours per week
Flexibility to work a combination of morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Highly Desirable
Previous experience in Endoscopy/Gastroenterology
Previous anaesthetic experience
Previous recovery experience
Experience assisting with endoscopic procedures
Experience with admissions and discharges
Minimum one year of experience in a similar clinical setting
Applicants with strong anaesthetic and/or endoscopic experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
