The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly team!

• Location: Allowah, Dundas Valley

• Employment Type: Multiple opportunities available- full time and part time

• Remuneration: $27.55 per hour

This position involves driving the Allowah vehicle to take our clients on community outings. This van can be driven on a standard car licence.

• Learn New Skills: Support Workers provide disability support including NDIS and in-house support within Allowah, they facilitate leisure activities, drive clients to appointments and activities and provide daily care.

Skills We’re Looking For

• Communication: Written and verbal, to communicate across diverse groups

• Reliability: Follow instructions to prioritise client care

• Empathy: Put the client at the heart of what you do

• Teamwork: Connect and build rapport with staff

• Flexibility: Be creative in the planning and delivery of NDIS program activities

Essential Criteria

If successful, you will need to obtain the following prior to commencement:

• Working with Children Check

• NDIS Workers Check

• Police Check (within the last 12 months)

• NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to drive clients in the Allowah vehicle

• First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)

• CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
  

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in disability support, working with children or young people with special needs and/or chronic illness or in education including early childhood

• A recognised qualification such as a Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability or Bachelor of Social Work
