Cafe FOH/Catering Assistant

About the role

Cafe Chat and Chill is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe FOH (Front of House)/ Catering Assistant to join our team in Derrimut, VIC 3026. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As our Cafe FOH, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, managing transactions, and ensuring every visitor leaves with a positive impression of our cafe. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for hospitality excellence and contributes directly to the success and profitability of our business.

Front of House / Catering Assistant

• Hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 am – 3:00 pm

• Location: Chat & Chill Café, Derrimut

Experience required

• Serving customers with a friendly attitude.

• Barista trained

• Making sandwiches, wraps and rolls to Chat & Chill standards.

• Assisting with catering preparation and packaging.

• Restocking displays and maintaining presentation.

• Keeping the front of house clean and organised.

• Helping the team during busy breakfast and lunch periods.

• Working efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous café or hospitality experience.

• Can work independently and as part of a team.

• Has excellent customer service skills.

• Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.

• Can handle busy rushes while maintaining quality.

• Has attention to detail and a positive attitude.
