What's on offer?
Porta Products Oberon has an excellent opportunity for a trade qualified, experienced Electrician to join the team as an Electrical Coordinator at our Oberon facility in rural NSW.
Responsibilities include:
Supervise work of employees / contractors to ensure schedules, safety, quality, efficiency and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Oversee planned and breakdown maintenance activities in a methodical manner to ensure malfunctions are corrected and planned preventative maintenance is carried out with a high degree of efficiency.
Review and analyse down time and reactive maintenance reports for opportunities to improve plant availability, reduce unplanned downtime and optimise plant performance.
Supervise and provide coaching and development to apprentices to ensure they receive appropriate training in their vocational field and are fulfilling the practical assessment requirements of their training.
At all times ensure adherence to all company policies (including Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Human Resources), safety standards and good housekeeping practice.
Contributing to and actively participating in the ongoing transition to pro-active maintenance services and accurately registering work data in the maintenance systems.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, applicants will have:
Electrical Trade or Engineering qualifications and experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, desirable.
Experience within a continuous production process
Demonstrated experience in relation to downtime reduction strategy development and implementation
A desire and ability to learn
Sound knowledge of PLC systems and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to schedule work, manage contractors and maintaining timelines for electrical shuts and projects.
A desire to strive for continuous improvement and goal oriented
Initiative and self motivation to maintain high standards in safety, quality and customer service
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to safety principles
