We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cattle Yard Installer to join our full-time team. The successful applicant will play an important role in the on-site installation of our prefabricated cattle yard systems across NSW.

About the Role

As a Cattle Yard Installer with M&M Stockyards, you’ll be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing prefabricated cattle yard components on-site. You’ll also assist with transporting materials and equipment to job locations and operate machinery and vehicles safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires practical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You’ll report directly to the Manager and work as part of a small, experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble prefabricated cattle yards, crushes, gates, and loading ramps according to plans and specifications

• Safely transport materials and equipment to and from job sites using HR vehicles

• Operate a vehicle loading crane for unloading and positioning components

• Operate forklifts and hand/power tools safely and efficiently

• Prepare and set out job sites to ensure correct alignment and layout

• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and policies

• Communicate effectively with the Manager, clients, and team members

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver’s Licence

• Current Forklift Licence (LF)

• Current Vehicle Loading Crane Licence (CV, CN, or equivalent)

• Experience in fencing, yard installion, or similar rural/construction work

• Ability to read and follow layout plans and instructions

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Strong practical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork

Desirable:

• Welding or steel fabrication experience
