M&M Stockyards is a proudly Australian-owned company based in Manilla, NSW, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-quality prefabricated cattle handling systems. Built to withstand tough Australian conditions, our yards are designed for safety, durability, and efficiency - helping farmers and graziers manage their livestock with confidence.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cattle Yard Installer to join our full-time team. The successful applicant will play an important role in the on-site installation of our prefabricated cattle yard systems across NSW.
About the Role
As a Cattle Yard Installer with M&M Stockyards, you’ll be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing prefabricated cattle yard components on-site. You’ll also assist with transporting materials and equipment to job locations and operate machinery and vehicles safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires practical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You’ll report directly to the Manager and work as part of a small, experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
Install and assemble prefabricated cattle yards, crushes, gates, and loading ramps according to plans and specifications
Safely transport materials and equipment to and from job sites using HR vehicles
Operate a vehicle loading crane for unloading and positioning components
Operate forklifts and hand/power tools safely and efficiently
Prepare and set out job sites to ensure correct alignment and layout
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and policies
Communicate effectively with the Manager, clients, and team members
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver’s Licence
Current Forklift Licence (LF)
Current Vehicle Loading Crane Licence (CV, CN, or equivalent)
Experience in fencing, yard installion, or similar rural/construction work
Ability to read and follow layout plans and instructions
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong practical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork
Desirable:
Welding or steel fabrication experience
Personal Attributes
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Takes pride in high-quality workmanship
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Works well both independently and as part of a team
Willing to travel and work away from home when required
