The Opportunity
Road & Civil Surveys is continuing to scale across major road, rail, water, and energy infrastructure projects. To support that growth, we’re appointing a Survey Data Manager based out of our Brisbane office, responsible for survey data governance, technical workflows, and quality control across live projects.
This is a hands-on technical role, reporting to the Senior Data Manager . You will be the assisting the data modelling and drafting for the business, ensuring key information is accurate, validated, and issued.
Your Role
You will support project teams across the full survey data lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and client-ready deliverables.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing survey data workflows from field capture through to final issue
QA and validation of survey data prior to client submission
Setup and maintenance of 12d and 12d Synergy projects (structures, codelists, nodes, mapfiles)
Supporting survey teams with troubleshooting and technical guidance
Acting as the escalation point for complex data and design issues
Enforcing data governance standards — file naming, coding, metadata, and version control
Managing change control for revised designs and superseded models
Driving continuous improvement in efficiency and data reliability as part of our company values.
What You’ll Bring
Diploma or tertiary qualification in engineering, or surveying
2+ years’ experience in survey data management or senior technical surveying
Advanced capability in 12d Model
Intermediate to advanced experience in AutoCAD
Strong understanding of survey data QA, ISO governance, and compliance
Ability to work autonomously and support multiple projects concurrently
Clear communication and a practical, solutions-focused mindset

Minimal rework caused by data errors or inconsistencies
Survey teams supported quickly when issues arise
Consistent data structures and traceable version control across projects
