Senior Activities Officer

We are currently seeking enthusiastic people to join our PCYC Team at Grafton. A Senior Activities Officer has a varied and flexible role, coordinating sport activities and events, assisting with front of house operations, and managing administrative tasks. Whether you are new to the industry wanting to build your skills or you are experienced in sport, recreation, and youth engagement roles, if you have strong customer service skills and are passionate about making a life-changing difference in your community, then this is the opportunity for you!

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Grafton team to provide positive experiences to young people. In this varied and flexible role, classified as Senior General Activities Officer under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be coaching and guiding young people, and:

• Provide customer service and administration duties
• Drive a team to deliver fun, interactive, engaging and safe activities and programs
• Program lessons

About You

Are you a passionate person and have flexibility to work afternoons and evenings, school holidays and weekends? As well as,

• Do you possess strong customer service and administration experience (desirable)?
• Do you have administration and computer system experience (desirable)?
• Do you have skills and experience in coordinating programs and coaching?
• Do you have a coaching accreditation or working towards attaining a coaching accreditation? 
• Do you have a First Aid certification, CPR Certification and/or Cert 1 in Sports Management, Coaching or Gymnastics (desirable)? 
• Are you a reliable and trustworthy person for the care of young people?
• Are you a positive role model, collaborative and team orientated?
• Do you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills?
• Do you have experience in working with children, building relationships and customer service? 
• Do you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working With Children Check and National Police Check?
