THE ROLE

We're looking for the person who wants to help make Piccolo by Amici one of Canberra's best little coffee bars.

Piccolo by Amici is a new Italian-inspired coffee and street-food concept in the heart of Canberra. We're serving ST. ALi specialty coffee alongside a small, focused Italian menu, and we're looking for an experienced full-time Head Barista to take ownership of the coffee side of the business.

We’re looking for someone who can make any coffee order that comes their way, who cares about coffee, works fast and clean, loves hospitality and takes pride in remembering the people who come through the door every day.

You’ll Be Responsible For

Producing consistently excellent coffee at volumeDialling in and maintaining espresso quality throughout the dayFast, organised service during busy periodsMilk texturing and quality latte artMaintaining an exceptionally clean and organised coffee stationTraining and maintaining standards across the teamManaging coffee, milk and related stockMonitoring wastage and consistencyHelping build a strong base of Piccolo by Amici regularsTaking genuine ownership of the coffee program

We’re Ideally Looking For Someone With

2+ years experience in a quality, high-volume caféStrong espresso knowledgeExcellent milk texturing and latte artThe ability to work quickly without sacrificing qualityConfidence dialling in and troubleshooting coffeeGreat communication and customer serviceStrong cleanliness and organisationReliability and a genuine love of hospitality

Specialty coffee experience is highly regarded. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in what they do.
