JOB TITLE: Ryderwear Gym Cleaner

HOURS:
Tuesday 7AM - 12PM
Wednesday 7AM - 10AM
Saturday 7AM - 12PM
Sunday 7AM - 12PM (Can be flexible with start times, however needs to be morning cleans)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:  A key part of the Ryderwear team, you are responsible for delivering a memorable member experience; ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness are maintained within our South Australian gym facilities and keeping areas tidy and safe to create a pleasant environment for members and visitors.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Weekly walk through with the Retail and Gym Manager and report any major issues as required. 

• Clean all floors, skirting boards, window ledges, glass panels.

• Clean lockers, clean marks off walls, light switches, sockets. 

• Clean all toilets and showers and changing rooms, including tissue, hand towels and soap.

• Empty all bins inside the gym. 

• Weekly deep clean of showers and toilets. 

• Placing safety notices and informing people if there are any hazards (wet floors, trailing cables, hazardous cleaning materials, etc.).

• Report any Health & Safety matters and/or damage or repair issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Retail and Gym Manager.

• Ensure the changing room & toilet areas are checked regularly as per cleaning schedule, paying particular attention to restocking e.g. soaps & toilet rolls and shower areas e.g. floors, tiles and cubicle doors.

• Use chemicals safely and use the correct chemicals for each area of the gym. 

• Attend update training or staff meetings as required. 

• Check all areas of the facility regularly as per cleaning schedule and complete tasks as found using your own initiative to prioritise the more urgent jobs that affect the members most.

• Ensure that facility members receive an efficient, friendly, consistent and personalised service and all areas of the facility are at the highest levels of cleanliness.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

• Previous experience in cleaning commercial space is desired 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow clear verbal and written instructions

• Excellent communication skills

• Professional manner to work autonomously in front of members 

• Demonstrate being able to work within a team 

• Have a high standard of safety
