About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse, yard and logistics operations at our Richlands site.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our warehouse operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively, while maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy, service delivery and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, you’ll lead our Warehouse team and oversee finished goods warehousing, packaging material storage, inventory control, yard operations and logistics.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, rosters and workforce planning.
Champion a strong safety-first culture across warehouse and yard operations.
Oversee the safe and efficient receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of finished goods and packaging materials.
Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy, including cycle counts, stocktakes, reconciliations and investigation of stock variances.
Ensure effective FIFO/FEFO, traceability, quarantine and stock segregation processes.
Manage warehouse space, forklifts, equipment and site operations to support safe and efficient workflows.
Manage relationships and performance of 3PL providers, carriers and transport partners, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.
Drive DIFOT performance and investigate service failures to identify and implement corrective actions.
Ensure packaging materials are available and supplied accurately and on time to support production requirements.
Partner closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Inventory and Logistics to deliver operational outcomes.
Ensure warehouse operations meet food safety, quality, regulatory, SOP and audit requirements.
Manage warehouse labour and operating costs within budget and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, using data and structured problem-solving methodologies to improve safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, service and cost.
Champion recycling, waste reduction and sustainable warehouse and yard practices.
About You
You’re an experienced warehouse or logistics leader who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people and finding better ways of doing things.
You’ll bring:
4+ years’ experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution management, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Demonstrated experience managing finished goods warehousing operations.
Strong people leadership and coaching capability.
Experience managing 3PL providers and transport partners.
Strong inventory and stock management experience.
Experience working with a Warehouse Management System; QAD WM experience is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Commercial awareness and experience managing labour and operational costs.
A practical approach to continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working within food manufacturing or another highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
A Certificate IV or Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or equivalent practical experience, is required. A current forklift licence is also required.
