About the role
Role Description The Business Analyst (Entry / Junior) will support research and operational projects related to real estate, urban development, and related business processes. This part-time hybrid role is based in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing data and processes, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting with the evaluation of real estate and urban studies initiatives. The role also involves coordinating with academic and administrative stakeholders, maintaining project documentation, and contributing to process improvements. The analyst may support benchmarking, market research, and basic financial or policy analysis under guidance from senior team members.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.Candidates should possess skills in understanding and documenting Business Processes and Business Requirements to support project and research needs.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Candidates should ideally have proficiency in basic data tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets, data visualization), and familiarity with real estate or urban studies is an advantage.Candidates should possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time, hybrid work environment.A relevant diploma or degree (completed or in progress) in business, economics, real estate, urban planning, or a related field is preferred.
