The Opportunity
Based in Laverton and reporting to the National Workshop Manager, this newly created role is responsible for coordinating field service activities, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance across our national operations. You will ensure work orders are actioned, tracked, and closed out efficiently, keeping our fleet operating at maximum availability.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate national breakdowns from initial notification through to completion and work order close-out.
Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance to ensure compliance with OEM servicing requirements.
Work closely with the National Workshop Manager, workshop teams, and external service providers.
Coordinate parts procurement and maintain critical spare parts availability.
Maintain accurate fleet records and asset history within the CMMS.
Monitor fleet performance, identify maintenance trends and help minimise downtime.
Build strong relationships with site teams, suppliers, and contractors.
About You
6+ years' experience coordinating heavy equipment field service or workshop operations.
Experience using a CMMS or fleet maintenance management system.
Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle/Fitter highly regarded.
Strong understanding of Caterpillar equipment; exposure to Volvo, Kobelco and crushing equipment advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proactive, self-motivated and committed to following tasks through to completion.
