Receptionist for Automotive Dealership

Cairns Cars Group is a multi- franchise automotive dealership supporting sales, service and parts for each of our franchises. We are a locally owned business who promote fantastic customer service across our sales, service and parts departments.

We are currently looking for a friendly, experienced and professional Receptionist/Switchboard operator to join our busy dealership team in Cairns.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys dealing with people, is confident on the phone and can stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Receptionist/Switchboard Operator serves as the first point of contact, professionally answering and directing calls with courtesy and warmth, ensuring callers are connected to the appropriate person or department based on their needs. You will also take messages to email through to staff if they are unavailable to take the call.

The role will also include a variety of general light administration duties to support the dealership and help keep our administration department, running smoothly.

Previous automotive dealership experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. If you have Dynamic receptionist skills operating a busy phone system, we would love to speak with you.

Your duties will include:

• Operating a busy phone system and directing calls efficiently and courteously

• Welcoming customers and visitors to the dealership

• Taking accurate messages and ensuring they reach the right person

• Assisting customers with general enquiries and directing them to the appropriate department

• Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, photocopying and other administrative tasks as required.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the effective integration and delivery of services across the organization.

 What we need from You:

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a receptionist in a busy environment

• The ability to create an exceptional first impression to all our customers

• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with experience interacting professionally with the public

• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, make decisions, show initiative, and work efficiently with minimal supervision

• The ability to work well in a team and multitask when necessary

•  A confident, calm, friendly and professional manner on the telephone

• Is reliable, punctual and well presented.

• A strong work ethic and who wants to come to work every day!

• A positive attitude at all times and is willing to develop new and varied tasks.

• Full time working rights in Australia essential - working visa holders will not be considered for this role.
