About the role
HVAC Service Manager
Lead, Build and Grow a Service Division
Wangara, Perth WA
Full-time | $130,000–$140,000 + Super + Vehicle + Commission
Are you an experienced HVAC professional ready to take genuine ownership of a service department?
Celsius Air is looking for a capable, commercially minded HVAC Service Manager to lead our Service Department through its next stage of growth.
This is not a position where you will simply coordinate jobs from behind a desk.
You will have the authority and support to lead the team, improve operations, develop technicians, strengthen customer relationships and grow our portfolio of preventative maintenance agreements.
Initially, the role will combine department leadership with hands-on technical support in the field. As the department grows, your focus will progressively shift toward leadership, performance management, client development and strategic oversight.
Why Join Celsius Air?
Celsius Air is an established and growing Perth air-conditioning company servicing residential, commercial, property, hospitality and facilities-management clients.
We are building a business with strong systems, accountable leadership and a clear vision for growth. For the right Service Manager, this is an opportunity to shape a department—not inherit a role where every decision has already been made for you.
You will receive:
A highly competitive salary package based on experience
Fully maintained company vehicle
Performance commission linked to department growth and results
Phone, tools, uniform and required resources
Direct access to company leadership and genuine decision-making authority
An experienced Service Coordinator dedicated to managing scheduling, customer communication and administration, allowing you to focus on department growth, technical support and team leadership
The opportunity to recruit, develop and build your service team
A clear pathway away from the tools as the department expands
Long-term career progression within a growing, multi-service company
Your Role
You will take ownership of the performance and day-to-day operation of the Celsius Air Service Department.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, supporting and holding accountable our Service Technicians, Apprentices and Service Coordinator
Managing the service workflow from initial enquiry and scheduling through to attendance, quoting, repairs, invoicing and close-out
Reviewing technician capacity, workloads, parts requirements, incomplete work and return visits
Providing senior technical support for complex faults, escalations and high-value customers
Completing servicing, diagnostics, repairs and occasional split-system installations when field support is required
Improving technician productivity, first-time-fix rates, job quality and customer communication
Reviewing job profitability, labour recovery, materials, callbacks and department performance
Coaching technicians and creating structured development pathways for apprentices
Managing customer escalations professionally and commercially
Conducting job, workmanship and service-report quality audits
Ensuring licensing, safety, refrigerant-handling and company compliance requirements are met
Building relationships with existing and prospective residential, commercial, property and facilities-management customers
Taking ownership of monthly departmental Forecast targets, monitoring performance throughout each month and implementing actions to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue and gross-profit outcomes
Actively identifying, prospecting and securing new preventative maintenance agreements across residential and commercial environments
Developing recurring service opportunities from existing customers, completed projects, reactive service work and new business relationships
Preparing and presenting maintenance proposals, following up opportunities and converting suitable customers into long-term service agreements
Working with management, sales and marketing to develop a consistent pipeline of new service revenue and support the continued growth of the Service Department
Reporting regularly on departmental revenue, Forecast performance, maintenance-agreement growth, conversion rates and upcoming opportunities
About You
You may already be an HVAC Service Manager, Supervisor or Leading Hand—or you may be an accomplished Senior Service Technician ready to step into a properly supported leadership position.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or an equivalent recognised trade qualification
Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Construction Industry White Card
Relevant electrical licence or authority
Strong experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing residential and commercial air-conditioning systems
Experience completing split-system installations
Demonstrated experience leading technicians, apprentices or field teams
Strong technical judgement and fault-finding capability
The confidence to manage customers, technicians and competing operational priorities
Commercial awareness, including an understanding of job costing, labour productivity and gross profit
Clear written communication and high-quality service reporting
A practical, accountable and solutions-focused leadership style
Experience with commercial preventative maintenance agreements, VRV/VRF systems, packaged equipment, Simpro or business development will be highly regarded.
The Leadership Style We Value
We are looking for someone who:
Leads from the front and supports the team when pressure builds
Sets clear expectations and follows through
Can coach people while still holding them accountable
Remains calm during technical issues and customer escalations
Makes commercially sound decisions without compromising customer trust
Takes pride in workmanship, safety and professional standards
Wants to build something meaningful rather than simply maintain the status quo
More Than Just the Job
We believe strong teams are built through clear communication, genuine recognition and time spent connecting beyond the day-to-day workload.
Our culture is guided by DRIVE:
Dedication – We take ownership and follow through on our commitments
Respect – We value our customers, our teammates and the contribution each person makes
Integrity – We do what is right, even when no one is watching
Vigilance – We remain alert to safety, quality and opportunities to improve
Engagement – We communicate, contribute and remain connected to the team’s success
We bring these values to life through:
Weekly team breakfasts bringing our field and office teams together
Monthly team huddles to share results, recognise achievements and keep everyone connected to where the business is heading
Quarterly team events that build stronger working relationships away from the tools and office
Regular recognition of individual and team contributions
Open access to company leadership and the opportunity to contribute ideas
A culture where feedback, accountability and continuous improvement are encouraged
We work hard and maintain high standards, but we also make time to recognise progress, celebrate wins and ensure our people understand the part they play in the company’s growth.
Ready to Take Ownership?
If you are ready to move beyond being “the senior technician everyone calls” and step into a role where you can lead a team, influence decisions and build a high-performing service department, we would like to hear from you.
Please apply through SEEK with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining:
Your HVAC service and diagnostic experience
The teams or technicians you have led
Any experience you have with maintenance contracts, customer relationships or department growth
