Due to continued growth, we're looking for a motivated Workshop Assistant / Parts Fitter to join our workshop team in St Marys, NSW.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with their hands and wants to build a long-term career. You'll work alongside an experienced mechanic maintaining a modern fleet of specialised line marking trucks, machinery and equipment.

About the Role

As part of our workshop team, you'll be involved in maintaining the equipment that keeps our crews operating across NSW.

Your responsibilities will include:

·         Assisting with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on line marking trucks, machinery and equipment

·         Fitting and replacing mechanical components

·         Assisting with hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs

·         Maintaining workshop tools and equipment

·         Picking up parts and materials when required

·         General workshop duties and housekeeping

·         Supporting our workshop mechanic with day-to-day maintenance activities

Essential Requirements (Applications without these will not be considered)

To be considered for this role, you must have:

·         Current Australian Driver's Licence

·         Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools

·         A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

·         Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or unrestricted Right to Work in Australia

Highly Regarded

The following qualifications and experience will be viewed favourably:

·         MR or HR Truck Licence

·         Experience as a Workshop Assistant, Mechanical Trades Assistant or Parts Fitter

·         Experience working on car, trucks, plant or heavy equipment

·         Forklift Licence

·         Basic welding or fabrication experience

·         Experience with hydraulic systems
