About the role
Water Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Burpengary, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead and manage complex water infrastructure projects from conception through to completion. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is integral to our success and will have a significant impact on the delivery of critical water infrastructure solutions to our clients and communities.
Key responsibilities
Planning, scheduling and coordinating all phases of water infrastructure projects, from initial concept through to final handover
Managing project budgets, costs and financial forecasting to ensure projects remain within allocated resources
Liaising with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables
Leading and supervising project teams, including contractors, engineers and technical staff to ensure effective collaboration and performance
Monitoring project progress and performance against key milestones, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, industry standards and health and safety requirements
Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, reports and records
Managing procurement processes and supplier relationships to secure materials and services at competitive rates
Conducting regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain project standards
Resolving project issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Required Qualities
10+ years in project management experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Demonstrable experience in all 5 project life cycle aspects (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closure).
Extremely proficient in the Microsoft suite.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work to deadlines, to plan effectively and prioritize work commitments.
Great communicator.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good team member.
Strong personal drive and initiative.
Take ownership/responsibility of projects.
Desired competencies
Working at heights and Confined Space Trained
White Card – Construction Induction
Experience in AS4000 contracts
