Head of Mining Services

Role Purpose

Lead a safe, reliable and profitable mining services business across Australia, with clear accountability for operational execution and customer outcomes. This role further supports India and China services region.

The role is responsible for translating commercial demand and contractual commitments into effective operational plans, ensuring the right resources, capabilities, and branch capacity are in place to deliver projects and maintenance services safely, efficiently and consistently.

The role will build a disciplined, accountable and improvement-focused service organisation that strengthens existing customer trust, operational performance and supports sustainable business growth.

The successful applicant can be based in Perth (Wangara), Melbourne (Bayswater) or QLD (Mackay).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end operational performance of the mining services business, with accountability for safety, quality, cost, delivery and profitability.

• Ensure customer projects and maintenance services are delivered safely, reliably and in line with contractual commitments.

• Translate commercial requirements and customer demand into executable resource, capability and branch plans.

• Drive operational discipline, performance management and accountability across the service organisation.

• Strengthen existing strong customer relationships and ensure service delivery consistently meets or exceeds expectations.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reliability, service quality and profitability.

• Develop organisational capability, ensuring teams have the skills, resources and leadership required to deliver current and future business needs.

• Partner closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to align business growth with sustainable delivery capability.

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure operational practices meet required standards and expectations.

About You

You are an experienced operational leader with a strong background in mining services, field service, maintenance or a related environment. You combine commercial acumen with a hands-on approach to operational execution and have a proven ability to lead teams across a geographically dispersed business.

The successful applicant can be based in Perth (Wangara), Melbourne (Bayswater) or QLD (Mackay).

You will bring:

• Proven leadership experience in a complex mining, industrial or services environment.

• A strong track record of delivering safe, reliable and profitable operations.

• The ability to translate customer and commercial requirements into practical operational plans.

• Strong commercial and financial understanding, with a focus on sustainable profitability and growth.

• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams, branches and/or service operations.

• A disciplined approach to performance management, accountability and continuous improvement.

• Strong customer focus and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• A commitment to developing high-performing teams and building organisational capability.
