About the role

Verity Medical Practice is seeking an experienced and motivated AHPRA-registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist to join our growing medical practice located within Club Lime CISAC in Bruce, Canberra.

The successful psychologist will provide evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment for patients referred by our GPs, including patients accessing services through the Medicare Better Access initiative and Mental Health Treatment Plans.

The role offers flexibility to work part-time, full-time or on a sessional/contract basis, depending on your preferred working arrangements.

Our practice is located within Club Lime CISAC and forms part of a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, with a physiotherapy service located next door and an NDIS exercise physiology provider directly opposite the practice. This provides opportunities to work collaboratively with other health professionals and support coordinated patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions

• Provide Medicare-eligible services where applicable

• Support patients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, adjustment difficulties and other mental health concerns

• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and professional standards

• Work collaboratively with GPs and other allied health professionals

• Develop and maintain your own patient caseload

About you

• Current AHPRA registration

• Eligibility to provide relevant Medicare Better Access psychological services

• Experience providing psychological assessment and treatment

• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills

• The ability to work independently while collaborating with our medical team

• A professional and patient-centered approach

• Clinical Psychology endorsement is highly regarded but not essential

• Experience with GP referrals, Mental Health Treatment Plans, Medicare billing and NDIS/psychosocial disability will be highly regarded
