People Consultant

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist providing consultations to the business on topics such as performance management, workplace concerns, etc.
  
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in HR, people programs, or other large scale people related roles.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and influence.
• Experience working with Works Councils and Unions.
• Experience with absence, injury and performance processes.

As a People Consultant you will work directly with Googlers, People Partners and other People Operations (POps) teams to provide personalized guidance, support, and solutions on a breadth of People Operations related activities requiring expertise and depth across multiple organizations and specialties.

People Consultants will ensure that employees experience the best that HR has to offer. You will focus on Googlers' experiences, provide timely responses, share knowledge and experiences with fellow team members, and balance individual needs with our philosophy, principles, and available resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic consultations around a variety of HR topics aligned to the POps’ Menu of Services such as performance enablement, team/manager/leader effectiveness, career development, navigating transitions.
• Contribute to deployment of HR programs and processes for a business area, Product Area or market via dynamic consultations.
• Seek opportunities to identify, recommend, and advance long-term, scalable and simplified solutions to drive continuous improvements in people processes, asking for input or buy-in from more senior leaders when needed.
• Identify key business/product and market areas and POps stakeholders to build network and contribute to cross-team collaboration.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of Google-wide HR policies, local/market legal and regulatory knowledge, of Google-wide HR policies and the POps’ Menu of Services.
