About the role
Located out of our Huntly office, the Project Officer will work as part of North Central CMA’s Sustainable Agriculture team to deliver sustainable agriculture projects. The role will need to respond to the specific requirements of each project and will include assisting project managers with the planning and development of on-farm demonstration sites, working directly with farmers to deliver project activities, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, and delivering community engagement activities.
The successful candidate will have:
• Demonstrated understanding of, or experience in the delivery of natural resource management activities such as agriculture, soil health, salinity management, land management, and irrigation management.
• Demonstrated ability in the planning and delivery of agricultural extension activities including community engagement, materials and activities to support farmers knowledge and skill development.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and to liaise with a range of stakeholders, including farmers, landholders, community and partners.
• Is self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and the ability to work to timelines and schedules across multiple project tasks.
This is a 0.8FTE fixed term position until the end of July 2028. We understand that life balance is an important part of our employees’ lives and offer a wide range of flexible arrangements.
