Key Responsibilities & Skills
Technical Direction Expertise: Minimum 8 years of proven experience leading technical operations for large-scale concerts and events. You possess an end-to-end understanding of production lifecycles, from initial concept to strike.Vectorworks Spotlight Mastery: At least 5 years of hands-on experience drafting complex production layouts in Vectorworks Spotlight. Rendering proficiency (Vision, Unreal Engine, or Renderworks) is highly desirable to bring concepts to life for clients.Multidisciplinary Technical Knowledge: In-depth, practical expertise across lighting design, video systems, structural rigging, and complex event network infrastructure. You can speak the language of every department head and troubleshoot cross-functional technical challenges seamlessly.High-Level Communication & Client Relations: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of managing high-profile clients and artist management. You present complex technical concepts clearly and maintain composure under pressure.Leadership & Collaboration: A natural team player with exceptional initiative who fosters strong, positive working relationships across crews, suppliers, and venues. You lead by example and proactively solve problems before they impact the show.Precision & Professionalism: Uncompromising attention to detail in technical documentation, run sheets, and safety standards. You uphold the highest level of professional discretion and quality control at every stage.Industry Flexibility: Complete understanding that live events operate outside the standard 9-to-5, requiring flexibility for weekend, late-night, and holiday work. You are comfortable collaborating with global teams and clients across multiple time zones.Location: Must currently reside in Australia with full working rights.
