What’s the role?

Join Westpac Institutional Bank's Structured Product Trading team and play a key role in one of the bank’s strategic growth areas.

Based full-time in Sydney, you'll work closely with experienced traders to manage and grow repo and securities financing portfolios while helping shape the future of the business. You'll take ownership of a trading book, managing everything from pricing, market-making and risk management through to portfolio performance and client engagement.

You'll partner with teams across Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Technology and Operations to continuously improve how we deliver our products and services. This is a role where you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, identify new opportunities and help build capability within a growing business.

We're looking for someone who enjoys combining strong technical trading expertise with commercial thinking. It's an opportunity to join a high-performing team with ambitious growth plans, where you'll be trusted to take ownership, build your profile and develop your career in a specialised and evolving area of Financial Markets.

What do I need?

You'll bring trading experience, strong commercial judgement and the confidence to take ownership of a portfolio while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.

• Experience managing, pricing and trading repo, securities financing or related fixed income products.
• Strong understanding of risk management, P&L ownership and portfolio management principles.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to new business initiatives.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships across trading, sales, risk, finance, technology and operational teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
