About the role
Located at 247 Flinders Lane in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Melbourne Winery is a contemporary urban winery that brings together wine, dining, functions and immersive experiences in a vibrant city setting. As the CBD’s first urban winery, the venue offers guests a distinctive way to explore wine through tastings, food pairings, private events and memorable hospitality experiences.
Melbourne Winery Events is seeking an organised, client-focused and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to help plan and deliver memorable winery experiences across Melbourne and surrounding wine regions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, event logistics, guest communication and working with venues, suppliers and clients to bring events to life.
Coordinate end-to-end event planning, including enquiries, bookings, schedules, run sheets and post-event follow-up.
Liaise with clients, venues team, entertainers and other suppliers to ensure seamless event delivery.
Prepare event proposals, quotes, timelines and briefing documents tailored to each client’s needs.
Manage registrations, guest lists, dietary requirements, seating plans and special requests.
Oversee event logistics such as venue setup, wine tastings, catering arrangements, equipment, signage and supplier arrivals.
Provide professional on-site support leading up to the events, troubleshooting issues and ensuring guests receive a high-quality experience.
Maintain accurate event records, budgets and supplier details.
Assist with marketing activities, including event listings, email communications and promotional materials.
Collect client feedback and contribute ideas to improve future events and customer experiences.
Previous experience in events, hospitality, weddings, venues, customer service is highly regarded.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
High attention to detail and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
Confident using email, spreadsheets, booking systems and common business software.
A professional, friendly and proactive attitude.
Knowledge of Melbourne’s hospitality, winery or events scene would be an advantage.

$80,000 per annum plus superannuation
Bonus incentives paid monthly
