HR & HC Crane Truck Drivers

John West Logistics is a major distribution company specializing in contract logistics across the east coast of Australia and New Zealand. Following a major contract win, we are seeking experienced HR & HC Crane Truck Drivers / Operators to join our fast-paced Victorian team.

• Safely operate HR and/or HC vehicles across local and regional Victorian delivery runs.

• Perform vehicle-mounted crane loading, transport, and unloading operations efficiently and safely.

• Strictly adhere to loading, load restraint, and axle-weight regulations.

• Conduct thorough pre-start equipment checks and maintain daily vehicle and crane logbooks.

• Represent John West Logistics professionally on client sites and customer delivery points.

• License & Tickets:

  • Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) Driver License (held for a minimum of 2 years).

  • High Risk Work License for Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) or relevant crane tickets.

• Experience: Proven experience operating vehicle-mounted cranes and securing diverse freight (experience with over-dimensional/specialized loads highly regarded).

• Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Fatigue Management, and Load Restraint guidelines.

• Attributes: Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
