An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced project professional to lead the implementation of the revised NSW Health Policy Directive – Termination of Pregnancy across South Western Sydney Local Health District. This role will work closely with local health services, primary care providers, private healthcare organisations, non-government organisations and the NSW Ministry of Health to improve access to safe, equitable and high-quality termination of pregnancy services. The position will play a key role in developing and strengthening referral pathways, supporting policy translation into practice, reviewing and developing local protocols and guidelines, and fostering collaboration across a broad range of stakeholders. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to women's healthcare by driving system-wide improvements that enhance access, quality and consistency of care across the District.

The ideal candidate is a highly organised and proactive health professional with demonstrated experience in project management, health policy implementation and stakeholder engagement within complex healthcare environments. They will possess excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and multiple agencies. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of coordinating projects, delivering outcomes within established timeframes, and supporting service improvement initiatives. They will be confident engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, capable of influencing change, and committed to improving healthcare access and patient outcomes. Experience within public health, women's health, maternity services, health service management or policy implementation will be highly regarded, along with strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills. Candidates who demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, respect, openness and empowerment will thrive in this role.

Relevant experience in health policy implementation and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.Describe your experience implementing a health policy, program, or service improvement initiative. Provide an example of how you have established and maintained effective stakeholder relationships to achieve a shared goal.Provide an example of a project you have managed involving multiple priorities, competing deadlines and complex governance requirements. How did you ensuresuccessful delivery of project outcomes?This role supports the implementation of the NSW Health Policy Directive –Termination of Pregnancy. Describe how your communication, consultation and problem-solving skills would enable you to support service development, facilitate change and improve access to care across a complex health service environment.Termination of pregnancy services can be a sensitive area of healthcare and may involve differing views among stakeholders. Please provide an example of how you have demonstrated compassionate, person-centred care while managing resistance to change or differing perspectives to achieve a positive outcome.
