About the role
We're seeking qualified, experienced community services professionals to join our team delivering the Diploma of Community Services. We're advertising three related roles — Course Coordinator, Teaching Staff, and Fieldwork Placement Coordinator. It would be highly desirable if one candidate could cover all three roles, but we welcome applications from candidates who meet the requirements for one or more of these areas.
1. Course Coordinator
Requirements:
A qualification in community work, social welfare, human services, social work, or a related field
Qualification must be equivalent to or higher than the Diploma of Community Services
At least 3 years' relevant industry experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
Responsibilities:
Coordinate delivery of the course and ensure compliance with training requirements
Manage escalated student grievances
Ensure training outcomes are met
Oversee training and placement delivery
Drive continuous improvement of training and assessment practices
2. Teaching Staff
Requirements:
A qualification in an area related to the specific units being taught
At least 2 years' full-time relevant industry experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
Must undertake at least 20 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) per year
Must retain current industry currency
Responsibilities:
Deliver and assess training in line with the training and assessment strategy
Provide students with timely, constructive feedback on their progress
Maintain accurate training and assessment records
Contribute to the review and improvement of learning resources and assessment tools
3. Fieldwork Placement Coordinator
Requirements:
A qualification in welfare work, community services, human services, social work, or a related field
Qualification must be equivalent to or higher than the course for which placements are being coordinated
At least 3 years' broad industry experience
Must retain current industry currency
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise student fieldwork placements
Liaise with host organisations to secure and maintain suitable placement opportunities
Support students through their placement, monitoring progress and addressing issues as they arise
Assess and report on student performance during placement
