Remuneration: $130,000 Base + Super + Discretionary Profit Share

About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced people leader looking for a high-impact leadership role within a market-leading global financial services firm?

We are seeking an Operations Team Leader to lead a highly established, self-sufficient team of 13 in Fortitude Valley. This team plays a critical operational role—managing advisor onboarding and driving initial engagements for financial advisors using top-tier banking and investment products.

This position has opened due to an internal promotion (the previous leader transitioned into a Senior Manager role), offering a clear testament to the career growth available within the organization.

• Lead an Established Team: You will be taking over a tenured, low-maintenance, and highly capable team of 13 operational specialists who take pride in their work.

• Blend Leadership with Strategy: In addition to day-to-day team management, you will have dedicated bandwidth to lead operational improvement projects and drive efficiency initiatives.

• Open Industry Background: While banking and financial services experience is a plus, we are actively open to candidates from Insurance, Utilities, Telecommunications, or complex high-volume Client Service environments.

What You Will Be Doing

• People Leadership: Provide daily guidance, coaching, and performance management to a team of 13 onboarding and payment processing specialists.

• SLA & KPI Management: Oversee operational queues to ensure strict service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and turnaround times are met.

• Process & Project Delivery: Identify operational friction points and lead process optimization and continuous improvement projects.

• Stakeholder Interface: Act as a key point of escalation for advisor onboarding queries and cross-functional business stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven Team Leadership: Demonstrated tenure leading, coaching, and managing operational or client service teams.

• Performance Focus: Solid track record in managing workflow queues, operational KPIs, quality assurance, and SLAs.

• Adaptable Mindset: Strong business acumen with the ability to lead projects alongside core day-to-day operations.

• Transferable Backgrounds: Experience in Banking, Wealth Management, Deposit Operations, Payment Ops, Insurance, or high-volume corporate client service environments.
