Permanent Sessional appointment at 4 sessions per
fortnight.
What is our Head of Department - After Hours Team role?
This position provides
clinical leadership to ensure personalised, safe, effective and
timely care for patients of the specialty across Sir Charles
Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHG)in collaboration
with senior medical and nursing teams for each area; ensures
efficient use of human and physical resources so that the specialty
operates within allocated financial, bed & clinic resources; leads
initiatives to improve the quality of patient care in line with
hospital wide
priorities and
to minimise adverse events and mitigate clinical risks; motivates
and mentors all levels of the clinical team, especially medical
staff, and ensures junior doctors are appropriately supervised at
all times; facilitates multidisciplinary coordination of patient
care and promotes education and research; is accountable to the
Acute Services Medical Co-Director in meeting the hospital’s
strategic initiatives and Key Performance Indicators as outlined in
the agreed annual SCGOPHG operational plan.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service or the wider public service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
