Project Coordinator

Huon Projects is a young, growing construction and project management practice delivering projects up to $3M+. We need someone who can be trusted to keep things moving, generate momentum, and deliver results.

This isn't a role for someone chasing the next big idea. It's for someone who gets real satisfaction out of closing the loop — a signed-off approval, a paid invoice, a subcontract that's finally locked in. If you're the person people know will follow up without being reminded, and you bring quiet persistence rather than needing to be chased yourself — this is your kind of work.

You don't need hands-on construction experience, but 1–3 years in an admin, project coordination, or contracts administration role — ideally within construction or a trades-adjacent capacity — means you'll be up to speed faster, and trusted with more, sooner.

• Meeting & calendar management

• Documentation & presentations

• Coordinating between clients, consultants, and trades — scopes, trade packages, proposals/presentations

• Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing, site inspections, project information etc

• Estimating support

• Tracking statutory approvals (DA/CC/CDC) through to permits and critical stage inspections

• Drafting & processing subcontracts, invoices, and progress claims

• Operating systems (MS365, Smartsheet, Xero, Claude AI etc.)

• Helping maintain and improve our processes as we grow

• General small business administration support

• Real growth potential for the right person as we scale

• Direct mentoring from the founder — clear briefs, clear deadlines, and the space to run with them once you've proven you've got it

• A genuinely varied project list, not the same job on repeat

• Full-time, based at our Marsden Park office (occasional WFH by arrangement)

• 7:30am–5:00pm Mon–Thu, 7:30am–4:00pm Fri

• Regular travel to project sites across Greater Sydney and beyond

• Available for immediate start
