About the Role
A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College is seeking applications for the position of Mathematics Teacher to join the Mathematics team in a temporary part-time 0.6 FTE position, working three days per week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, commencing Term 1, 2027.
This position forms part of a flexible work arrangement with the substantive Mathematics Teacher, who will work Thursday and Friday. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the substantive role holder to ensure continuity of teaching, learning, assessment, pastoral care, and communication throughout the full school week.
The successful candidate will teach across relevant year levels and will report to the Mathematics Coordinator.
The Mathematics Teacher will collaborate within the Mathematics Department and across relevant year groups, undertaking team responsibilities as required by the Coordinator. The Mathematics Department is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement committed to student-centred practice.
A key aspect of this position will be the ability to work effectively within a shared-role arrangement. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain clear and consistent communication with the substantive teacher working on Thursday and Friday, ensuring that students experience a cohesive and well-coordinated learning program throughout the week.
This will include effective handover and collaboration on curriculum planning, lesson sequencing, assessment, student progress, classroom management, pastoral matters, and communication with students, families, and colleagues.

All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students, demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, and be willing to participate in extracurricular programs.
Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners, dedicated team players, interested in the care and welfare of students, and have particular skills in teaching Mathematics to equip them to contribute to the College’s educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will provide an opportunity for a creative and passionate teacher and their students to flourish.
