Forklift Operator

About the role

Freight Link Couriers' is seeking a casual Forklift Operator to join our new team in Cairns. You will play a vital role in the efficient processing and distribution of goods within our busy logistics operation.

What you'll be doing

• Unloading and loading freight securely and safely using correct forklift techniques.

• Assisting with the preparation of freight for dispatch, including labelling and palletising

• Collaborating with the wider logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods

• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

• Loading and delivering small and bulk freight

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a forklifting or warehousing role (non-essential), ideally within the transport and logistics industry

• Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy items safely

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

• Reliability and punctuality

• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues

• A valid forklift license or the willingness to obtain one

• A commitment to upholding safety standards and environmental regulations

• A strong individual who will be sorting tyres when trucks are not to be unloaded
